Xiaomi has recently announced the latest version of their UI the MIUI 8 and the public Beta will be released to the public on July 11th. In the meantime, Xiaomi has silently rolled out a new update for their flagship smartphone, the Mi 5 which has got MIUI V7.5.2.0.MAAMIDE OTA update this morning. There seem to be some fixes and some updates in this update.
The security has got some new additions, with a new On/Off switch added for App lock along with new Customized settings for App lock. One issue which was being presented by many users, during calls while using earphones there is an issue with compatibility with earphones which has been fixed now.
Backup has been given importance with Optimization for Mi Mover transfer speed and Mi Cloud no has a new Backup Now option for faster backups.

The file size of the MIUI V7.5.2.0 Stable update is 217MB and it is being sent as an OTA update to MI 5 smartphones in India. Make sure to keep checking for the update on your device, as the update is being sent in phases. Make sure to have a stable internet source and have the device charged up or have a charging point or power bank nearby to make sure that the device does not turn off in the middle of the update.
