Datamini TPOS7 Janunnati Pad 7-inch tablet with Windows 10 and Fingerprint scanner launched

Datamini a Mumbai-based OEM manufacturer has launched Janunnati Pad, a 7-inch tablet. The tablet has been launched in support of the government’s ongoing flagship programs such as Digital India and Make in India. The Janunnati Pad is India’s first touch-enabled mobile device with integrated STQC-certified Fingerprint scanner for Aadhaar authentication. The Tablet device comes with a 7-inch multi-touch display with a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels resolution.

The tablet is manufactured and launched by MAIT, India’s ICT hardware industry association, Intel, and Datamini. It is powered by a 1.44GHz Intel Atom x5-Z8300 processor (up to 1.84 GHz in turbo mode) with Intel HD Graphics coupled with 2GB of RAM and 32GB internal memory expandable memory up to 64GB with a microSD card.

Specifications of Datamini TPOS7 Janunnati Pad:

  • Camera: 5MP auto-focus rear camera and 2MP front facing camera
  • OS: Windows 10 Home and Windows 10 Professional

  • Connectivity: 4G (optional), 3G HSPA via micro SIM, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0

The tablet comes with a 5MP rear camera and a 2MP front-facing camera, the device is available in two variants – one with 3G embedded with micro SIM and 4G on demand. The device also comes with Windows 10 Home and Windows 10 Professional OS. It is powered by a 5000mAh battery.

The connectivity features of the device are 4G (optional), 3G HSPA via SIM, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0. Along with a fingerprint scanner, it also comes with bar code reader, SAM slot, smart card reader, debit and credit card reader. The company is planning to manufacture 1 to 1.5 lakh units in the manufacturing facility located in Bhiwandi, Maharashtra. With all the scanners and sensors the tablet can be deployed in government schemes and used by officers in government offices, banks etc to use it for various e-KYC type functions.

The Datamini TPOS7 Janunnati Pad will be available in black color and will be priced between Rs. 12,000 and Rs. 20,000 depending on the configuration you choose. The availability of the device starts from later this month.
