Airtel’s 399 recharge gives 1GB/day data for 70 days, unlimited calls

Airtel’s offer galore continues as the network provider has now started a new recharge offer for the prepaid users where recharging the Airtel prepaid number with Rs. 399 gives you 1GB per day data for a total of 70 days. Given how the companies have started calling 28 days a month, it is about 2.5 months for which you need to recharge once.

But before you get too excited, let us mention that the offer is available only for select subscribers and is not open to everyone. If your number is eligible, you will see it available in the list of recharges available on the My Airtel app.

This new offer from Airtel is for fighting against the Jio Dhan Dhana Dhan offer, which is said to be offering a similar amount of data for about 84 days for a recharge of 99 + 309 = Rs. 408. Airtel too isn’t guaranteeing you that you will get the same Rs. 399 offer again in the future, so it could be a one-off benefit to contest against Jio.

So, what do you get on Rs. 399 Airtel recharge?

  • 1GB per day data for 70 days
  • No night/day divided data
  • Calls to local or STD numbers in India free for 300 minutes per day, 1200 per week
  • No free SMS
  • No free outgoing calls on national roaming

Since Airtel has made the incoming calls on national roaming free of cost for all its subscribers, it is a common feature added to the recharge.

Before this, the very famous recharge offer was of Rs. 349 where the users were given 1GB data per day for 28 days and unlimited calls just like mentioned above. But now, interestingly, we are seeing that the same recharge amount is entitled to give 2GB data per day for 28 days, and this is a bold move to retain its current subscribers who might have given a thought to shift to the competitor network due to better offers.

There is one more requirement for you to avail this offer of Rs. 399 – You need to have a 4G handset and 4G uSIM card from Airtel.

If you want to check if you can get this recharge offer for your number, just download the My Airtel app and it would show up in the list of offers. There are bigger recharge offers as well, such as the Rs. 549 and Rs. 799 ones as well.
