idea 4g service roll out in India

While Airtel had announced earlier that the network was offering free data surprise to its postpaid subscribers where the postpaid users were getting from 2GB per month for three months to 10GB per month for the same amount of time, Idea Cellular too has now announced some specials for its postpaid users, under the Idea Data Jackpot offer.

This isn’t the free data that you are getting with Airtel but here, the paid plans are very affordable. Consumers will get up to 10GB data benefit per month at Rs. 100 monthly rental and this is for the first 90 days. After the first 90 days, the same amount of Rs. 100 will give you 1GB data (not daily data) for next 30 days.

The offer that is beneficial here is only for the first 90 days where you will have to add this Rs. 100 pack to your Idea Postpaid Individual Paid number for free times in three months. There are some terms attached to it, though, unsurprisingly.

  • Customers will be informed the total benefit provided in the pack via SMS after pack activation
  • Out of the total data benefit given, 1GB benefit will be applicable and refreshed as per customer’s bill cycle. The remaining benefit will be applicable for 30 days from the offer activation date and subsequently provided 2 more times automatically, each for 30 days.
  • Customers can subscribe to this offer at Rs. 100 on top of his/her existing data pack also.
  • In case customers deactivate the 1GB pack before the completion of 90 days, then only 1GB benefit component will be discontinued. The remaining data will continue up to 90 days with the Rs. 100/month charge.

Places where the offer is applicable: Andhra Pradesh, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Gujarat, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra & Goa, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Assam, Bihar, Karnataka, Mumbai, North East, Orissa, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal – 4G/2G, Delhi, Kolkata – 3G/2G.

The offer is not available for the company paid connections and for the normal users once the free data is consumed, the overage rate shall be applicable as per base pack.
