Reliance Jio 4G LTE launch

Reliance Jio expected to start rolling out 4G LTE services in the next few days

Recently we read about Reliance Jio delaying the commercial launch of their 4G LTE service to the end of the year around December 2016. But with recent updates from sources, Reliance Jio 4G LTE is expected to be rolled out in the coming 10 to 15 days. The launch of the Jio 4G service is first expected to be restricted to Mumbai initially and later expand to other cities like Delhi, Kolkata and Kerala.

The company is said to do a soft launch initially and later followed by the rollout of the service across the country. The SIMs are said to be provided free to certain customers like LYF and other 4G handsets across the country.

The company appears to have shipped 4G SIM cards and Customer Application Forms (CAFs) to its outlets across the country and this points at Jio 4G LTE to be available in the upcoming days. As per sources the SIMs can be activated within for hours of a user submitting the CAFs, and on activation of the SIM, a customer can start using 4G services making it one of the fastest services not just in terms of speed but activation as well.

We can see that the competition is going to take a lot of heat with the commercial launch of Reliance Jio 4G LTE as the pricing from Reliance has been market disrupting which was seen when they first entered the Mobile market with Reliance CDMA and GSM services seeing a plummet in the call rates and SMS rates at that time.

Telecom Network providers like Airtel, Vodafone, Idea etc who are already providing 4G LTE services have to come up with ideas to counter the Reliance Jio 4G LTE service expected to be launched in the Indian market in the coming few days.
