Amazon Fire TV Stick with Android launched in India for Rs. 3,999

Amazon has launched its popular media streaming device; the Fire Stick TV in India that comes with Voice control with Hindi language support and Remote. Amazon Fire TV Stick is a direct competition to Google’s Chrome cast, Roku, and many other streaming devices. With Amazon Prime slowly catching up in India, it only makes sense for Amazon to launch its streaming device to take advantage of the content.

The Amazon Fire TV runs on Android with Fire TV UI skin on top and comes with apps like Prime Video, Netflix, YouTube and more. It is powered by the MediaTek quad-core processor with Mali 450-MP4 coupled with 1GB RAM. The Amazon Fire TV lacks Alexa support, just the way Apple ditched Siri for AppleTV in India. It comes with Voice enabled remote to control the FireTV features, and it also offers Dolby Audio 5.1 surround sound.

The voice control feature lets you access Amazon Prime, Netflix, YouTube, Saavn, Gaana, Spuul and other streaming services. However, Hotstar isn’t supported at the moment. The Amazon FireTV is priced at Rs.3,999, but if you are a Prime member, you will get Rs 499 cashback in your Amazon Pay Balance. In case you are not a Prime member, you will be getting a one-year complimentary Amazon Prime service. It will be available via Amazon.In, Chroma and Reliance Digital stores in India. Amazon India has partnered with Airtel for free data to the buyers of the new Stick. Customers can enjoy 100 GB free high speed data on Airtel Home Broadband/Airtel 4G Home Wi-Fi with the purchase of Amazon Fire TV Stick with Voice Remote Airtel Movies now available on Amazon Fire TV Stick with Voice Remote; Airtel users can get access to thousands of movies and TV shows for free.

While the data offer can be availed by existing as well as new Airtel home broadband and 4G home Wi-Fi customers, free access to content on Airtel Movies will be available to all Airtel mobile customers as well. The data quota can be availed in buckets of 35GB per month for three months from the date of activation. To activate the Airtel offer, customers of Amazon Fire TV Stick with Voice Remote have to just launch Airtel Movies and follow a few simple steps
