LG has launched its flagship device LG G4 with a 3000 mAh battery which gives decent battery life for a QHD display and the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 SoC. But for heavy users who want to take full benefit of the flagship LG G4 the battery life will not be sufficient, to help you with this Zerolemon has come out with a 8,500mAh battery for the LG G4 .
The 8,500mAh battery will be bigger in size compared to the normal battery, the main problem with the G4 is the presence of the volume rocker buttons and the Power button on the back of the device. To overcome this problem Zerolemon is giving a case for using the battery with buttons on the back for the volume and power. With the added battery life the LG G4 thickness has been increased from 9.8mm to 21.3mm in thickness, with the weight increased from 155 grams to 178 grams.
The main feature of the LG G4 which is the leather back panel and the back side placed buttons are compromised due to the ZeroLemon battery pack. With the addition of the back buttons to the custom case the device will become more bulky to maintain the position of the buttons on the back. The battery case is made of soft-touch plastic to help in protecting the device as well as giving good grip and comfort in holding the device in your hand.
The camera is surrounded by the plastic case which sometimes will affect and decrease the range of the camera flash to all areas which were brightened without the case. With an increase in 23 grams of weight, along with an increase in battery capacity to 8,500mAh the ZeroLemon case + Battery is available on Amazon at $60. The international availability is not yet known. It is a decent upgrade if you are a frequent traveler where the battery life and functionality is more important than the looks of the device.
