The facelift of the Hyundai i20 is officially launched at the Auto Expo 2018. There are several changes made to the car, including both to the exterior as well as to the cabin. The base model of the Hyundai i20 facelift is priced from Rs. 5.34 lakh.
The new i20 facelift comes with the black cascading grille, revised headlamps with the new LED daytime running lamps, and there are new arrowhead foglamps housed in the new bumper, and it has the integrated spoiler. The changes are not only on the front, but the new i20 facelift also has some significant changes on the rear, having a fresher design. There’s a new taillamp cluster, new sculpted hatch door, and an all-new rear bumper with large matte black insert and reflectors.
The 2018 Hyundai i20 facelift has the new diamond cut alloy wheels, and while the cabin is not changed a lot, some known differences from the previous version of the car include a larger touchscreen panel as a part of the infotainment cluster. The screen also is more responsive, while the inclusions like Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are something continued from the previous gen. i20.
When it comes to the power, the i20 facelift continues to use 82 bhp 1.2-litre Kappa Dual VTVT petrol engine, and that is joined with a 5-speed manual unit, and another variant has an 89 bhp 1.4-litre U2 CRDI diesel engine paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox. Finally, the third and most powerful engine combo is of 99 bhp 1.4-litre dual VTVT petrol engine that comes mated to a 4-speed automatic torque converter.
While the 2018 i20 facelift has the dual-tone treatment that it comes with, there is a new Flame Orange color variant that we are going to see this year.
