Xiaomi finally has a laptop in its portfolio. The Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air is the new laptop in the market and it runs Windows 10 OS, thankfully, the standard one that hasn’t been played with and the user is going to see only the external difference when comparing with any other laptops in the market.

The Mi Notebook Air is launched with two variants, which differ not just with the screen size but also with the internal specs. Let’s check out how do both the laptops differ with specs because except the size difference, you won’t notice anything else different externally.

Differences between the 13.3-inch & 12.5-inch Mi Notebook Air

Processor, RAM, and Storage

  • The 13.3-inch variant has the Intel Core i5 processor, NVIDIA GeForce 940MX high-performance dedicated graphics card, and 8GB DDR4 RAM. The storage included in the laptop is expandable 256GB PCIe SSD storage.
  • The 12.5-inch variant has the Intel Core M3 processor and 4GB of RAM. There is an expandable 128GB SATA SSD storage included.

Thickness and Weight

  • The 13.3-inch variant of the Mi Notebook Air is 14.8mm in thickness, while the 12.5-inch one is 12.9mm thick.
  • The bigger variant is 1.28kg while the smaller one is 1.07kg.

Battery life

The 13.3-inch Mi Notebook Air is said to have a battery life of 9.5 hours while the 12.5-inch Mi Notebook Air comes with a battery life of 11.5 hours on regular usage.

Pricing

The Notebook Air is priced at RMB 3499 for the smaller, i.e. 12.5-inch variant while the 13.3-inch larger variant is priced at RMB 4999.
