GOLE1 PC

GOLE1 is the smallest Intel-based AiO touch PC with Windows 10 / Android

There are several campaigns that you see around PCs and touch-enabled devices, but some drag your attention. One of them is the GOLE1, which is put up as a crowdsourcing campaign on Indiegogo. Gole1 is a 5-inch PC or better be called a smartphone but it runs the standard Windows 10 OS.

Being built by ARMdevices, the GOLE1 PC comes with a 5-inch HD display while the Intel Cherrytrail Z8300 powers it. The little PC runs Windows 10 Home Multi-language OS and the connectivity options include 4 USB Host ports including 3xUSB 2.0 Host and 1xUSB3.0 Host, Micro-SD card reader up to 64GB, and HDMI for connecting it to the large screens.

There is also Dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, and Gigabit Ethernet port. While the 2600 mAh battery on the device can run it only for a couple of hours, the PC can be charged using a 5V/2A microUSB power bank for the usage on-the-go.

One interesting feature about the GOLE1 PC is that it has a dual-boot between Windows 10 and Android 5.1 Lollipop. A single “Switch to Android” option on the Windows OS will help open the Android OS on it. It is an Aluminum body with vents to let the heat out from the bottom, and the PC is 2cm thick.

The pricing for this mini PC begins from $79, though the perk is already gone and you are left with $99 option for which you would get a combination of 2GB RAM and 32GB storage, or pay $10 extra and get the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage combo. It won’t take long and the shipping is expected to begin in July 2016, so if you are looking to check out a PC that can even fit your pocket and sometimes help with streaming stuff to projectors or larger screens, the GOLE1 is worth checking out.

An optional case is also available with the 2.5-inch thickness, and that would allow you to add a hard drive for storage with support for up to 2TB.

Check out the campaign on Indiegogo.

While we talk about these projects from crowdsourcing websites, we cannot guarantee or vouch for their delivery or whether they would be successfully made or not, but they are among the coolest ideas people have got.
