Garmin Vivosmart HR with Optical Heart rate sensor launched in India for Rs. 14999

Garmin has introduced their latest Heart rate activity tracker, the Vivosmart HR in India. The activity tracker was launched in November last year as the upgraded variant of the Vivosmart fitness band which was launched in India last year. Garmin recently launched three new smartwatches called Garmin Forerunner 230, Forerunner 235 and the Forerunner 630 with the company’s Elevate heart rate technology to monitor heart rate.

The Garmin Vivosmart HR comes with an Always-on display with resolution of 160 x 68 pixels and displays the activity details like number of steps, heart rate details etc on the display which is design to be clearly visible even under direct sunlight. The main feature of the activity tracker is the inclusion of an optical heart rate monitor which keeps track of your heart rate continuously storing all the data to be accessed anytime you wish to with the help of Garmin Elevate.

Garmin has included features like ‘Activity Intensity’  which measures using intensity Minutes, this monitors your progress against aerobic activity goals recommended by health organizations to help you in keeping a note of your progress. It is Water resistant upto 50 meters. The device tracks all kinds of activities and it Displays steps, calories, distance, heart rate, floors climbed, intensity minutes and time of day. The Vivosmart HR comes with an integrated Barometric altimeter which keeps track of the number of stairs climbed and gives credit for the extra work done.

Apart from being an Activity tracker you can connect it with your smartphone and it gives notifications and can also receive calls, text, calendar and social media alerts. With its inbuilt vibration alert, you will be reminded to stay active with the vibration and move bar alert. To keep the activity tracker active for those trekking sessions and outdoor activities it comes with a lithium ion battery which gives 5 days of battery life on a single charge.

The Garmin Vivosmart HR is available exclusively through Amazon India website and priced at Rs. 14,999 in midnight blue and white colors.
