Nokia 1 Plus launched Android Go phone launched with 5.45-inch 18:9 display

Nokia has just announced the Nokia 1 Plus before the Mobile World Congress 2019 event at Barcelona, and the new smartphone comes as an upgrade to the Nokia 1 that was announced at the MWC event last year. The updated device also runs on the latest Android 9.0 Pie and is a part of the Android Go program.

The Nokia 1 Plus comes with a 5.45-inch FWVGA+ IPS display with a resolution of 480 x 960 pixels bringing in the aspect ratio to 18:9 aspect ratio. The device is powered by the MediaTek processor with the model number MT6739WW, the SoC comes with a Quad-core 1.5GHz Processor. The Nokia 1 Plus comes with 1GB RAM and the device is made available in 8GB or 16GB storage options.

Coming to the optics, the device has a decent camera with a resolution of 8MP in the rear camera and also has an LED flash. The resolution on the front camera is of 5MP and has a fixed focus. The software of the Nokia 1 Plus is based on the latest Android 9 Pie and the device runs on the Go Edition with all Android Go optimized applications. The Nokia 1 Plus comes with a 2500 mAh battery which is enough to get the device through the day with a little juice left.

The design on the Nokia 1 Plus has improved over the year and now comes with a 3D nanotextured design and fully carbonate unibody. The Nokia 1 Plus is available in three colors – Blue, Black, and Red. The device is oriented to the very base spectrum of the user base with an intention to attract and draw new users who have never experienced Android before. While the Nokia 1 Plus comes with very basic specifications, however, the software on the device is extremely optimized and is expected to run smoothly without any major issues. The Nokia 1 Plus will go on sale for a price of $99.
