Amazon has added a new device to its Echo line-up of smart speakers, called the Echo Spot, on April 25th, in Bengaluru. The company’s smart echo speakers first debuted in India in December 2017.
The new Amazon Echo Spot comes with 2.5″ screen which can be used to watch the latest news from NDTV, Times Now, ESPN Cricinfo, Aaj Tak and more. The speaker has a camera on the front using which, users can make video calls to others who own an echo spot device or have the Alexa app their smartphones.
The Echo Spot has a 3.5 mm stereo speaker driver and an array of 4 Microphone which are configured with Echo’s far-field technology that recognizes your voice from across the room. If you have more than one Echo, Alexa responds intelligently from the Echo you are closest to with ESP (Echo Spatial Perception).
The device can also show users weather forecast and play shows and movies from amazon prime video using their amazon prime account. Consumers can also play cooking videos from Sanjeev Kapoor Recipes, view cab options and the booking details of your Ola cab, see the latest horoscope and astrology videos from GaneshaSpeaks, discover restaurants with Zomato, view album art when you listen to your favorite music, and more.
