HTC 10 powered by Snapdragon 820 coming to India

HTC had unveiled their Flagship smartphone, the HTC 10 last week globally and with everyone around the world excited with the launch, HTC fans in India were left with a rude shock when the company displayed on their Indian website that not the HTC 10 but a toned down variant of the device called HTC 10 Lifestyle will be the one heading to India. The HTC 10 Lifestyle comes with a Snapdragon 652 SoC as compared to the Snapdragon 820 in the HTC 10. Just when everyone had given up hope, HTC has confirmed that the HTC 10 with SD 820 will be coming to India.

HTC did not mention anything about HTC 10 not being launched in India and neither did they confirm it during the launch, it was confirmed when HTC did not list the HTC 10 on their Indian HTC site but instead listed the HTC 10 lifestyle which led to the confusion and left many disappointed. And today morning some could see the HTC 10 SD 820 variant listed in the official site. To confirm this Faisal Siddiqui, President HTC South Asia, said “We are pleased to announce that global flagship HTC 10 is coming soon to India. Stay tuned for the announcement and the availability date.”

HTC did not confirm the date of the launch but with the confirmation about the launch of HTC 10 in India along with the HTC 10 Lifestyle the company has surely cleared some air over the matter.  HTC 10 Lifestyle is a toned down variant of the HTC 10 which comes with a Snapdragon 652 SoC compared to the SD 820 and 3GB of RAM compared to the 4GB RAM in the HTC 10. The Lifestyle is also restricted in terms on storage to just 32GB compared to the HTC 10 which comes with 32GB and 64GB variants.

With the confirmation about the HTC 10 coming to India, we need to wait for the pricing and availability of the device, which will be known only after official confirmation by the company.
