Huawei announces Honor Play 5 with LTE and 4000mAh battery

Huawei has now announced a new device under its online brand called Honor. Honor doesn’t have a plethora of phone but still almost all the phones released under Honor have got a good response.

Under the Honor series, a new device called Honor Play 5 has been announced in China. Earlier it was said that the device would be named as Play 5x but it has been launched as Play 5. The phone gets the name due to its 5 Inch HD IPS Display. There is a quad-core MediaTek processor clocked at 1.3GHz with a 64-bit architecture. It gives you 16 gigs of internal memory which can be further expanded up to 128 gigs and also provides 2GB of RAM It comes with Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box  and runs Emotion UI, a customized UI for Honor devices.

The phone sports a 13MP camera on the back along with LED flash and a 5MP camera on the front. The device also features 4G connectivity. Honor Play 5 is juiced by a 4000mAh battery which comes with a power saving technology to increase the power by 24 hours with just 10% of battery.

The device will come in 3 colors; Grey, Gold and white. Honor Play 5 has been priced at 999 Yuan which is around Rs. 10,000 in INR. The device will go on sale in China from October 16th but the release date for the rest of the world is still unknown.
