The latest additions to the Google Nexus series, the LG Nexus 5X and Huawei Nexus 6P have been launched in India and are priced starting from Rs. Rs 31,990 for the Nexus 5X and Rs. 39,990 for the Nexus 6P. Both the devices have been launched in Google Play Store and the LG Nexus 5X is exclusively sold on Amazon.in. The LG Nexus 5X comes with Free 6 month screen replacement warranty, free Bluetooth headset and cash back of Rs. 3500 on HDFC cards. Pre-orders for the Nexus 6P will be starting exclusively on Flipkart from 2pm today.
The Nexus 6P is the higher variant compared to the Nexus 5X in terms of display size and the specifications as well. The Nexus 5X comes with a 5.2-inch Full HD display and is powered by Snapdragon 808 processor and supported by 2GB of RAM and internal storage space of 16GB and 32GB without microSD card. It sports a 12.3MP rear camera with laser Auto-focus and a 5MP front facing camera. It comes with a fingerprint sensor which is placed at the back of the device below the camera module.
The Nexus 6P comes with 5.7-inch AMOLED display with QHD resolution and is powered by a Snapdragon 810 processor and 3GB of RAM. IT comes with three variants of internal storage options; 32GB, 64GB and 128GB without microSD card slot. The Nexus 6P sports a 12.3MP rear camera with Laser Autofocus and a 8MP front facing camera. It comes with Nexus Imprint, a fingerprint sensor which is located on the back of the device. There are some Features missing in Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P which we felt if added would make the device unbeatable.
Both the devices have been launched in India at a launch event in Delhi which was held at 11 am. The Nexus devices are being launched ahead of the Apple iPhone devices which will be available from October 16th. At the launch event Google’s Vice President and MD for India and South East Asia, Rajan Anandan was also present.
Coming to the official pricing of Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P, the Nexus 5X comes in two variants and is priced at Rs. 31,900 for the 16GB variant and Rs. 35,900 for the 32GB variant. The Huawei Nexus 6P on the other hand, is priced at Rs. 39,999 for the 32GB variant and Rs. 42,999 for the 64GB variant. The Nexus 6P will be available for pre-order on Flipkart at 2PM, from today.
