Lava has launched a new budget smartphone, the X3 in India at a price of Rs. 6,499. This device is the company’s second smartphone under the ‘X’ series, the first one was the Lava X10 which was launched around the Rs. 10,000 mark.The Lava X3 sports a 5-inch HD display with resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels and is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek processor.

The Lava X3 has 2GB of DDR3 RAM and 8GB in built internal storage space expandable using microSD card. The device comes with a dual tone color design on the back panel with White with Silver and White with Gold color combinations, it measures 72 x 144 x 8.45mm in dimensions and weighs 141 grams.

The Lava X3 comes with a 8-megapixel rear camera with Autofocus and LED flash along with a 5MP front facing camera. It comes with additional software features like Face detection, face beauty, panorama, motion tracking and live photo. It is powered by a 2500mAh battery. Lava has launched four other smartphones in this year already, the Iris Atom, Iris Atom 3, P7 and V5 with this being the their fifth device. The Lava X3 lacks 4G LTE connectivity and with 4G becoming a norm these days wonder why Lava has failed to put in 4G into this device.

The Lava X3 is available in two colors – White with Silver and  White with Gold and is available through Flipkart, Amazon.in along with other offline and online retailers at a price of Rs. 6,499.
