Lenovo has launched the two smartphones in the Vibe P series, with Vibe P1 and Vibe P1m smartphones introduced after their announcement at the IFA 2015 event in Berlin. These phones come with battery capacity as the USP, just like how Gionee’s Marathon series and Intex’s Aqua Power series are being sold.
The Lenovo P1 comes with a 5.5-inch display, and it is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor, along with 2GB of RAM. The P1m on the other side, has a 5-inch display, and it is powered by Mediatek MT6735P processor, along with 2GB of RAM.
Lenovo Vibe P1
It is a Full HD resolution display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection under the 5.5-inch screen, and there is 32GB internal storage. The P1 is a Dual SIM phone, though the secondary SIM slot can be used as MicroSD card slot for storage expansion of up to 128GB.
The 13-megapixel camera on the back of the phone comes with phase detection autofocus, and a Dual LED dual-tone flash assists it in low light conditions. The phone also has a fingerprint sensor with Synaptics Natural ID Fingerprint Solution for content privacy.
The most important feature though, is the 5000 mAh battery on the device, and this Li-Polymer battery is capable of fast charging, which Lenovo calls as Rocket Charge.
Lenovo Vibe P1m
This is quite a downgraded version of the P1, and it comes with a 5-inch 720p display, and along with the Mediatek chipset as mentioned above, there is 16GB internal storage provided. Similar to the P1, the secondary SIM slot can act as a MicroSD card slot for storage expansion.
The camera combination includes a 8-megapixel rear and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. There is no fingerprint scanner, and no phase detection autofocus for the camera. The device has a 4000 mAh Li-Polymer battery.
Both the phones have non-removable batteries, and both of them run Android 5.1 Lollipop OS, with Lenovo’s Vibe UI layered over it.
Pricing and availability
The Lenovo Vibe P1 is available for Rs. 15999, and the P1m is priced at Rs. 7999. Both the smartphones will be sold exclusively on Flipkart.
