LG G5 SE made official with Snapdragon 652 processor and 3GB of RAM

LG had launched their Flagship smartphone the G5 recently and right after its release there were rumors about the company working on a toned down variant of the G5 which has now turned out to be true with the device being called the LG G5 SE. The device has been spotted on LG Russian website product information page. There seems to be nothing special about the device with toned down specifications and having the same modular design as the LG G5.

The LG G5 SE comes with a 5.3-inch Quad HD display similar to the G5 and also sports the same camera set up which features 16MP/8MP dual camera set up along with an 8MP front-facing camera. The external design of the device is similar to its elder sibling with the fingerprint sensor and the buttons placed on the back of the device.

The major change in the LG G5 SE is the lower Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM compared to the SD 820 with 4GB RAM in the G5. The device comes with USB Type-C port with fast charging support. The device also comes with modular design to support the modules available like the CAM Plus. The LG G5 SE runs on Android Marshmallow OS similar to the G5.

The LG G5 SE is launched as a 3G handset in Russia which is confusing as Snapdragon 652 SoC supports LTE X8. The device sports a 2,800mah battery and supports fast charging. The device will be available in Russia and Latin America and these regions might miss out on the LG G5 and will be getting only the toned down LG G5 SE. There is no official update about the availability of the device in other regions and the pricing etc.
