Micromax Bharat 5 Pro launched in India, with 5000 mAh battery for Rs. 7999

Micromax Informatics introduced a new phone in its Bharat line up – the Micromax Bharat 5 Pro, on March 14. The new phone comes with the face unlock feature and a 5000mAh battery. The Bharat series of phones from Micromax is aimed towards the sub 10k market.

The phone sports a 5.2-inch HD display with the 1280×720 pixels screen resolution, and a yesteryear’s 16:9 aspect ratio. The phone is powered by a 1.3 GHz Quad-core MediaTek MT6737 chipset coupled with 3 GB of RAM. It comes with 32GB of internal storage and can be expanded up to 64 GB via a MicroSD card. The device runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat.

The Bharat 5 Pro has a 13MP camera with an LED flash on the rear and it can record videos up to 720p via the rear camera. It comes with features like Panorama, Time Lapse, Beauty Mode & Bokeh mode. The 5MP front-facing camera is an 83.3 Degree wide angle Lens and comes with an LED flash.

It comes with a beefy 5000mAh battery which can be used as a power bank to charge other phones via a USB OTG cable. The phone comes with Face Unlock feature and can be used via the front-facing camera. The phone doesn’t have a fingerprint scanner, so you’ve to rely on Face Unlock. It comes with sensors such a Proximity, Gravity Sensor & Accelerometer.

Commenting on the launch, Shubhodip Pal, Chief Marketing and Chief Commercial Officer, Micromax Informatics said,

“Hence, we at Micromax have always been at the forefront of coming up with phones with extensive battery life and compelling product features, not too long ago we were the first to give our consumers a 30-day battery phone. Our new addition to the successful Bharat range – the Bharat 5 Pro will surely offer a complete package to the consumers at a very affordable price.

The phone is priced at Rs. 7999 and is available in Black Colour only. The phone will be available to purchase from Wednesday.
