Panasonic P65 Flash and P50 Idol launched in India

Panasonic which was concentrating on the Eluga series is now expanding the P series with two new device, the Panasonic P65 Flash and P50 Idol. With the festive season coming up Panasonic wants to portray their devices which come under the budget category as perfect gifts.

Both the devices comes with mostly similar internal specifications but are designed differently on the outside. The major differences are, the Panasonic P 50 Idol comes with a 5-inch HD IPS display with resolution of 720 x 1080 pixels resolution, the Panasonic P65 Flash on the other hand has a bigger 5.5-inch HD display with resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. The P50 Idol is powered by a 2150mAh battery and the P65 Flash is powered by a bigger 2910mAh battery to support the bigger display.

Talking about the launch, Pankaj Rana, Business Head, Mobility Division, Panasonic India, said, “With the release of the P50 Idol and P65 Flash, Panasonic now offers nearly 30 smartphones at affordable price points for every buyer to indulge themselves or their loved ones this festive season.”

The bigger P65 Flash measures 151×77.8×8.95mm in dimensions and weighs 168 grams, whereas the P50 Idol measures 142×71.5×8.7mm and 139 grams in weight. Apart from these specifications, both the devices are similar.

Both the P50 Idol and P65 Flash are powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor which is coupled with 1GB of RAM and comes with 8GB of internal storage which is expandable via microSD card up to 32GB. Both the devices come with 8-megapixels rear camera with LED flash and 2-megapixel front-facing camera. Both the devices are dual-SIM supporting smartphones, both come with connectivity features like 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, and Bluetooth. Most of the devices in this segments are sporting 4G connectivity and both these devices do not come with 4G option.

The Panasonic P50 Idol and Panasonic P65 Flash will be available shortly in retailers and e-commerce websites shortly and are priced at Rs. 6,790 for the Panasonic P50 Idol available in two colors of Fabric Silver and Fabric Gold and Rs. 8,290 for the P65 Flash which is available in two colors of Metallic Silver and Metallic Gold.
