Samsung Galaxy A9 design revealed in new images

Samsung is expected to launch their latest device the Galaxy A9 in CES 2016 in January, it has been in news as it passed FCC recently. With the device being approved by China’s Telecommunication Equipment Certifications Center making it ready to be sold in China. Samsung has been working on its latest flagship the Galaxy S7 along with a mid range Galaxy A7 which was also spotted recently.

The Galaxy A9 is going to be a device in the phablet range with a screen size of 6-inches having Super AMOLED display at 1080p resolution. With the design also being premium sporting a metal body along with a fingerprint scanner in the home button we can expect it to be in the upper mid range segment.

The Galaxy A9 will be sporting a 6-inch FullHD Super AMOLED display having resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The device will be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 620 or 652 Soc clocking at 1.8GHz. It will be running on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop with TouchWiz UI over it. It is said to be having 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage, no information about the presence of a microSD card slot.

The Galaxy A9 is expected to have a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and 8MP front facing camera. The device also sports a Fingerprint sensor in the Home button located below the display. It will be sporting a 4000 mAh battery which will be decent enough for the huge display at offer. It is said to be equipped with Samsung Pay as well.The galaxy A9 is expected to be priced at $450 which is approximately Rs. 30,000 which does not exactly qualify as a mid range device.

The Galaxy A9 is expected to be showcased in CES 2016 in January, the company announced that the event will be centered around TV and home appliances and it means we will not be seeing the Flagship Galaxy S7 showcased at the event.
