Samsung Galaxy J4 with 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display, Exynos 7570 launched

Samsung quietly launched its latest Galaxy J-series smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy J4, in India. The new smartphone comes with Samsung’s homegrown Exynos processor and a traditional 16:9 Super AMOLED display.

The Samsung J4 comes with a 5.5 inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 720×1280 pixels. The display has a 16:9 aspect ratio with a pretty respectable 267 PPI dense screen. The phone is powered by Samsung’s homegrown Quad-core Exynos 7570 and Mali-T720 MP2 GPU . It comes with either 2 GB RAM and 16 GB of internal storage or 3 GB RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. The storage can be expanded up to an exta 256 GB via the dedicated microSD card slot. The phone runs on Android 8.0 Oreo with Samsung’s own Experience UI on top.

The phone comes with a single 13 MP rear camera, which has an f/1.9 aperture and a 28mm lens on top. The rear camera can record videos at 1080p 30fps and comes with Samsung Mall option which lets users shop items by pointing their cameras at their desired products, to get a pricing and details about the item, across all major e-commerce platforms.
To the front, the J4 comes with a 5 MP selfie camera with an f/2.2 aperture. There’s also a front facing LED flash to brighten up your selfies.

The Galaxy J4 packs in a 3000 mAh battery. Unlike other phones in its price range, the J4 lacks any sort of bio-metric authentication. For connectivity, the Dual sim smartphone comes with 4G VoLTE, 802.11 Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, GPS. The phone has a microUSB port for charging, a 3.5 mm headphone jack and FM Radio support.

Pricing and Availability of Samsung Galaxy J4

The Samsung Galaxy J4 comes in three colors – Black, Blue and Gold. The phone is priced at 9990 for the 2 GB RAM and 16 GB storage variant, whereas the 3 GB RAM and 32 GB storage model is priced around 11,990. The two phones will be sold offline across all major outlets in India.
