Samsung has finally unveiled the Galaxy On Nxt which was being teased for the last couple of days. The octa-core Exynos 7870 powers up the newly launched smartphones. With 3 GB of RAM along with 32 GB of onboard storage, the Samsung Galaxy On Nxt sports a price tag of Rs. 18,490. The handset is currently listed at the company’s official website and as well as on Flipkart.

The new handset is the successor of Samsung Galaxy On8 which costs Rs. 15,900. Both the devices are basically identical to each other in almost every aspect except, the latest Galaxy On Nxt sports an upgraded chipset, a different screen type and an added fingerprint scanner. The Exynos 7870 SoC of the newer smartphone boasts a 14 nm manufacturing process. It is almost 30 percent more power efficient than the 28 nm Exynos 7850 of Galaxy On8. The Galaxy On Nxt comes with a 2.5D curved TFT LCD panel in comparison to the flat Super AMOLED display of its predecessor. The screen size and resolution remains the same, though.

The Galaxy On Nxt is a finely built handset with a full metal unibody construction. The smartphone comes in two colour avatars namely black and gold. At the front, there is a 5.5-inch Full HD 1080p TFT LCD panel. This is Gorilla Glass-protected 2.5D curved display. Inside, lies the octa-core 64-bit Samsung Exynos 7870 processor with eight Cortex A53 cores running at a maximum clock speed of 1.6 GHz. This is a new generation SoC manufactured using the advanced 14 nm FinFET process. The graphics are handled by the single core ARM Mali T830 MP1 GPU.

Speaking of storage, the latest smartphone sports 3 GB of LPDDR3 RAM and 32 GB of inbuilt memory. The Samsung Galaxy On Nxt also supports micro SD card up to 256 GB via a dedicated slot. This means that you won’t have to remove your second SIM in order to add in a memory card. Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow modified with Samsung’s user interface powers up the brand new handset.

Coming to the camera, the Galaxy On Nxt comes with a 13 MP primary shooter. This autofocus snapper sports a large f/1.9 aperture size. There is a single LED flash at the back. The smartphone features a fixed focus 8 MP selfie unit with the same f/1.9 sized aperture. There is no 4K 2160p video recording support, and the handset can only shoot Full HD 1080p footages at 30 fps. The Galaxy On Nxt also boasts a fingerprint sensor which remains integrated into the home button at the front.

The dual-SIM mid-range device is 4G LTE compliant and supports a wide range of 4G radio frequencies. Other specifications include single-band Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz), Bluetooth v4.1, GPS, and the necessary sensors. A large 3300mAh non-removable Lithium-ion battery juices up the Galaxy On Nxt.
