Vivo V9 Pro with 6.3-inch 19:9 display, Snapdragon 660 SOC launched in India

After being available for three months now in Indonesia, Vivo has launched the Vivo V9 dubbed as Vivo V9 Pro, in India, today. The Indonesian variant of the Vivo V9 has minor differences from the Indian variant that was launched back in March. The company has also launched the V11 yesterday, which will be available starting from tomorrow, i.e., September 27, 2018.

The Vivo V9 Pro sports a 6.3-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 2280×1080 pixels. The phone has a notch on the front, similar to the one found on Vivo V9, but still manages to have a 90% screen-to-body ratio mark. Powering the smartphone is the Snapdragon 660 AIE SOC with Adreno 509 GPU handling the graphics. It comes with 6 GB RAM and 64 GB of internal storage with expansion for up to 256 GB. The phone runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with Vivo’s FunTouch OS 4.0 on top.

The Vivo V9 Pro has a dual camera setup on the back of which the primary shooter is a 13 MP camera which uses an OmniVision OV13855 sensor that sits behind a f/2.0 lens. The secondary 2 MP unit with f/2.4 aperture captures depth information for portraits. On the front, there’s a 16 MP camera which uses a Samsung-made S5K3P9 sensor, attached to a f/2.0 lens. The V9 Pro offers Professional, Slow-mo, Timelapse, Panorama, Bokeh. While the portrait centric features include Face Beauty, Palm Capture, Gender Detection, AR Stickers, and Group Selfie.

Fueling the V9 Pro is a 3260 mAh battery underneath the hood. For connectivity, the phone comes with 4G VoLTE, Dual band 802.11 ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS. There’s also a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner with face unlock for securing your smartphone.

Pricing and Availability of Vivo V9 Pro

The Vivo V9 Pro comes only in Black color. Priced at INR 19,990, the phone will first be available exclusively online via Amazon India and Vivo E-store and later will be sold offline at select mobile stores. However, the phone is available for a special price of INR 17,990 during the Amazon India’s Great Indian Festival.
