Vivo V9 Youth with 6.3-inch display, 16MP selfie camera launched in India

After the launch of Vivo V9, the company’s flagship phone, Vivo has announced the launch of Vivo V9 Youth, which is a lower specced version of its bigger brother. The phone keeps the 6.3 inch Full HD+ FullView Display with the 19:9 aspect ratio and the notch on the top.

The Vivo V9 youth comes with the same 6.3-inch FHD+ display which is covered with 19:9 aspect ratio. The display is covered under a 2.5D curved glass and has a 90% screen-to-body ratio and top notch. The phone is powered by a Snapdragon 450 chipset with the Adreno 506 GPU. It has 4 GB RAM and 32 GB of internal memory, which can be expanded up to 256 GB via a microSD card. The phone runs on Funtouch OS 4.0, which is based on Android 8.0 Oreo.

The V9 Youth has a 16 MP primary camera and 2 MP seconday camera on the back, along with the LED flash. To the front we are greeted with 16 MP camera and a softlight LED flash, for better low light selfies.The selfie camera comes with AI Face beauty feature, whereas the rear camera has a live bokeh effect for portrait shots.

The V9 Youth retains the AI Face Access technology from the V9, which allows the phone to be unlocked quickly by scanning facial features of the user. Apart from Face unlock, the phone also comes with a rear mounted fingerprint scanner. It has a 3260 mAh battery and has 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS + GLONASS support, for connectivity.

The Vivo V9 Youth is priced at INR 18,990 and will be available in black and gold colors across all offline stores from today. On the other hand, the online buyers have to wait for a while as the phone will be available online on the Vivo E-store, flipkart.com, amazon.in and paytmmall.com starting from 24th April, 2018.
