ZTE Blade A1 with 5-inch HD display to become cheapest smartphone with Fingerprint sensor

ZTE has announced their latest smartphone the Blade A1 which sets to become the cheapest smartphone sporting a fingerprint sensor. It is the first sub $100 smartphone having a fingerprint sensor. The Blade A1 was launched in China at 599 CNY which is approximately $94. This smartphone beats the UMi Fair which was the cheapest smartphone with fingerprint sensor launched in September.

ZTE proudly says that the fingerprint sensor can unlock the Blade A1 in just 0.3 seconds. The fingerprint sensor if placed on the back, below the camera being the ideal position where the index finger is placed while holding the smartphone in one hand. It comes with decent build as well having a plastic body with rounded borders.

The ZTE Blade A1 sports a 5-inch HD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. It is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage expandable using microSD card. The device sports a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and an 8MP front-facing camera . The smartphone runs on Android Lollipop with customized ZTE UI.

The ZTE Blade A1 comes with Hybrid Dual SIM support having nano + nano/microSD. The device measures 142 x 70.2 x 8.9mm and weighs 137 grams in weight. The device is powered by a 2800mAh battery. It comes with 4G LTE support for single SIM and other connectivity features like 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS.

The ZTE Blade A1 is available in white color and is priced at 599 Yuan or US$ 94 which is approximately Rs. 6,255. The availability is only in China through jd.com and will go on sale from 11th December. For the price, it is being sold at makes it the cheapest fingerprint sensor sporting smartphone, the other features are impressive as well.
