Physical buttons

This is the default method in Android smartphones where pressing the two physical buttons together does the job. Here, the ones you need to press together are the Power Button and Volume down button, which are to be pressed together. That will result in a camera shutter sound and the screenshot gets captured, a notification of which will be seen on the notification panel.

Software option – Quick settings

When you drag the notification panel down, there is a page having only the quick settings. Scroll down in those quick settings and you will be able to see an option for Screenshot. Tap on that, and it would do a similar function. Many times, you are just too comfortable with the physical buttons but when they don’t work at times, you might want to use this option, because the notification panel can be dragged from any app.

Where do the screenshots get saved in Xiaomi Mi 5?

The screenshots that are captured get saved under the Offline > Screenshots folder in the Gallery app, or you can directly go to the File Explorer and under the DCIM folder, find the Screenshots folder.

I am getting an error that screenshot cannot be captured. What should I do?

Two of the very common reasons for the screenshot capture to fail – Either the internal storage is full, and in that case you need to free up some space, or sometimes it is a problem with the UI not able to save the screenshot and for that, a simple restart of the phone solves the issue.

So, that’s how you capture the screenshot on the Xiaomi Mi 5 smartphone.
