List of Asus Zenfone series phones to get Android 6.0 Marshmallow update in March

Asus, the Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer has released the list of their Zenfone series smartphone which will be receiving Android 6.0 Marshmallow update. Asus has released a list of six smartphones which will be receiving the update in the first round which is in March 2016. The company mentioned that other devices will start receiving the Marshmallow OS update from April 2016.

Here is the list of Asus Zenfone smartphones which will be receiving the Android Marshmallow 6.0 update in March 2016:

  • Zenfone 2 ZE550ML, ZE551ML
  • Zenfone 2 Deluxe ZE551ML and Special Edition
  • Zenfone 2 Laser ZE500KL, ZE550KL, ZE601KL
  • Zenfone Selfie ZD551KL
  • Zenfone Max ZC550KL
  • Zenfone Zoom ZX551ML

Android 6 Marshmallow update for Asus Zenfone series

Android 6.0 Marshmallow will be bringing new features like Google Messenger, Calendar and Gmail apps which will be automatically included in Android M update. These Apps are said to replace the company’s ZenUI apps – ASUS Messenger, Mail, and Calendar as the default apps in the Android M based Zen UI.

Along with the above-mentioned devices, Asus is said to roll out the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update to other devices as well starting from April 2016. with the next version of Android, the Android N being talked about and rumors leaking about the features of the device we can expect that Android M will be rolled out to many devices in the coming months.
