Coolpad Note 3 is quite a successful device in India ever since it was launched, thanks to the good specifications it packed, a great performance offered and a very quick and accurate fingerprint sensor. It ran the Cool UI over Android 5.1 Lollipop, which is not a huge tweak from the stock Android, but still it was so well optimized to use RAM lesser than the competitive devices.
The much awaited Android Marshmallow update was expected by a lot, and finally, we have some good news for the users. Coolpad is internally testing the update, and one of our sources who is testing it has sent us a few screenshots of the UI, also saying that the update will carry a new UI version, i.e. the Cool UI 8.0.
The updated UI looks a little different from the previous one, and we are looking at new icons and a Control center-like quick settings panel that pulls itself up from the bottom, just like how it is in the Le 1s or in the iOS.
Thankfully, we are not looking at just the UI update but also the actual Android OS is getting updated here, so hopefully we might see Coolpad taking advantage of the newer features of Android Marshmallow OS.
Release date of Android Marshmallow update for Coolpad Note 3: We are told that the update will be arriving on the Coolpad Note 3 devices, including the ones in India, in the third week of April, which is not far from now. It will be an OTA update so you don’t have to worry about manually flashing or so.
