Android Nougat for Samsung

List of Samsung phones to get Android 7.0 Nougat Update

Samsung has had a sad few weeks since the launch of Galaxy Note7 because of its battery blast issues and that went on to a stage where the company had to permanently discontinue the Note 7 in the market. But that should not let the company lose its focus on the other things, especially the software updates.

Google’s new Android version is now out, and it is called Android 7.0 Nougat. There’s an upcoming Android 7.1 Nougat update too but as we know, these updates first hit the Nexus phones and now the Pixel phones will be the first ones to get it. What about the individual smartphone manufacturers and the Android Nougat update for their smartphones? Many might be seeking to get information about the update and release date for the Nougat update for Samsung phones because the company holds the highest market share and it is the highest number of Samsung users around.

For the list below, we have contacted Samsung and have been able to get some information and the others are just our predictions based on how Samsung has worked on updates in the past, so don’t confirm it based on the predictions, but there is a high chance of the information being true.

Features in the Android Nougat Update for Samsung phones

XDA Developers had reported that the Nougat update for Samsung smartphones might bring in extra support for Stylus, and now that the Galaxy Note 7 is discontinued, there are rumors that Samsung will bring some Note-series features into the flagship phones as a tribute and also to keep the users interested in the brand after the big fiasco of battery blasts of the Note7 devices.

Along with that, there will be Nougat security updates as well every month to a few select Samsung smartphones. Will we see some improvement in the Edge display functionality as well? Hopefully there will be something to look out for, but the biggest problem here with the Android Nougat for Samsung is that there will be a limited number of phones getting the update.
