Huawei MediaPad M5 and M5 Pro launched with 8.4 and 10.8-inch displays

Huawei just launched the MateBook X Pro a while ago as their flagship laptop with some of the best specifications and now the company has launched a new more portable MediaPad M5 running on Android 8 Ore. The device comes with a premium design and has a display size of 8.4-inch for the standard variant. The display resolution is 2560 x 1600 and weighs in at 316g.Huawei MediaPad M5 display

The bigger variant of the same laptop measures 10.8-inches diagonally and has the same resolution weighing in at 498g. Alongside the Huawei MediaPad M5, the company also announced the MediaPad M5 Pro with the 2-in-1 PC experience, and there is an M Pen given along for better productivity and the MediaPad M5 Pro also comes with the Full-size keyboard. The M Pen has 4096 levels of sensitivity. While the Pro retains most of the specifications from the basic M5, the addition of M Pen and the keyboard is done to give it more productivity and serves the purpose of enterprise usage. All the devices come with a full aluminum unibody design and have Space Grey and Champagne Gold color options.

The devices are both powered by Huawei Kirin 960 Chipset and have the same internals that we saw on the Huawei Mate 9 and the Huawei P10. The RAM on the device is 4GB and come with both LTE as well as Wi-Fi support. The front camera of the device is 8MP while the rear camera is an 8MP camera. There are three variants based on the storage capacity and you can choose between 32GB, 64Gb or 128GB for the Huawei MediaPad M5 8.3-inch and 10.8-inch variants while the MediaPad M5 Pro only comes in 64GB and 128GB variants.

The 8.4-inch variant of the MediaPad M5 comes with a 5100mAh battery while the 10.8-inch variant comes with a 7500mAH battery. The estimated battery life stands at 11 hours of FullHD playback for the 8.4-inch variant and 10 hours for the 10.8-inch variant.

The MediaPad M5 8.4-inch variant will be coming with a stereo speaker setup while the larger 10.4-inch variant comes with a quad speaker setup. The device also supports Hi-res audio with Histen for 360-degree soundscape experience.

The pricing of the device starts at €499 for the 4G+64GB storage Wi-Fi variant while the 4G+128GB LTE variant goes all the way till € 599.
