Kingston Dual USB Drive with Type-C connectivity launched in India

Kingston has released a new DataTraveler microDuo 3C USB drive, which will be exclusively available on Flipkart. The microDuo 3C USB drive in the DataTraveler series from Kingston is the first Dual USB Drive in India and it works with both, the USB Type-A and the USB Type-C ports.

For the USB Type-A, it is the 3.1, 3.0, 2.0 standards that are supported. These USB OTG drive with Type-C connectivity will be great for those who have a smartphone with USB Type-C port, and had to struggle to find a good OTG drive because most of them came in with the MicroUSB pin.

The Kingston DataTraveler microDuo 3C will be available in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB capacities at MRPs of Rs.800, Rs. 1,200 & Rs. 2,000 respectively. It will be backed by a five-year warranty and free technical support.

“DataTraveler microDuo 3C has a dual interface that accommodates both USB Type-A and USB Type-C ports to give users easy access to the latest USB interface,” said Nathan Su, Flash Memory Sales Director, APAC Region, Kingston. “Our drive provides more storage, features fast data transfer speeds and helps make the new technology more accessible to consumers.”

The 16GB drive can touch 100 Mbps read and 10 Mbps write speeds while the 32GB and 64GB drives can touch 100 Mbps read and 15 Mbps write speed. The dimensions are 29.94mm x 16.60mm x 8.44mm. The OS supported by these drives are Windows: 10, 8.1, 8, 7 (SP1), Vista (SP2), Mac OS X v10.8.x +, Linux v2.6 +, Chrome OS.

As mentioned above, these drives are available exclusively on Flipkart.
