SanDisk USB 3.0 iXpand Flash Drive for iPhone and iPad launched

Sandisk has introduced the successor to their first iXpand Flash Drive which came with Apple Lightning connector for iPhone and iPad with the same name but it now supports USB 3.0 for faster transfer speeds. The Flash Drive is now more compact and weighs only 5.3 grams and comes with a redesigned iOS app to easily manage photos, videos, and music.

The earlier variant was quite bulky compared to even a regular USB drive. The iXpand Flash Drive comes with a flexible connector which lets you plug into your iPhone or iPad without the need to remove the case. The Flash Drive comes with iXpand Drive App which lets users have increased control to manage your photos and videos and lets you watch popular video formats.

With the iXpand mobile app automatically backs up the camera roll from your iPhone or iPad when the drive is connected to it. The SanDisk iXpand Flash Drive comes win 16GB, 32GB, 64GB and 128GB capacities. It supports almost all popular video formats
like .WMV, .AVI, .MKV, .MP4, .MOV which allows users to store and watch videos directly from the drive.

Commenting on the launch, Dinesh Bahal, Vice president, product marketing, Sandisk, said, “People are using their mobile phones to capture tons of photos and videos, and more than 70 percent of users transfer files off of their iPhones to another storage location. The SanDisk iXpand Flash Drive is available in the US from BestBuy, Amazon and SanDisk.com priced at $49.99 approximately Rs. 3330 for 16GB, $69.99 approximately Rs. 4665 for 32GB, $89.99 approximately Rs. 6000 for 64GB and $129.99 approximately Rs. 8665 for 128GB.
