JioGigaFiber is the fixed-line broadband service from Reliance – Details

At the Annual General Meeting of Reliance Industries, the company’s Director and General Manager Mr. Mukesh Ambani has officially announced the JioGigaFiber broadband services. Going to be available for three different categories, the JioGigaFiber is the fixed-line broadband offering.

Reliance wants to reach the top 5 position in the broadband connectivity services in the world in the coming years, and thus, the broadband services will be added with several solutions including smart home options and the accessories. The JioGigaFiber is going to come with its own router, and along with that, the users will get the bundled Jio GigaTV, the 4K enabled media streaming box.

The JioGigaFiber, as the name suggests, will have Gigabit internet at 1 gigabit per second speed.

Akash Ambani says “Your home will have wall-to-wall Wi-Fi coverage, every appliance, plug point, switch will become smart. You can have cameras giving you 24×7 security monitoring, alerts”

The Jio Smart Home solution includes smart cameras, smart plugs, IR blasters, Smoke sensors, gas leak sensors, audio dongle, video dongle, Wifi extender, TV cameras, and much more. It will be an interconnected network for Internet, TV, Voice, and Home platforms. The appliances and accessories can all be connected and controlled with the MyJio app.

The JioGigaFiber and the smart capabilities can be all installed in about an hour of time.
