Samsung Gear 360 VR Camera launched with dual fisheye lens

Samsung has officially launched the Gear 360 VR which is the company’s first 360-degree virtual reality camera. The device comes with dual fisheye lenses and both have CMOS 15-megapixel image sensors. It comes with DRIMe5s Image processor. The camera is capable of capturing high-resolution 360-degree video supporting 30 megapixel still images with resolution of 3840 x 1920 pixels. The device was launched along with the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge

The Gear 360 comes with Bright Lens F2.0 aperture, this helps in capturing high-resolution images in low lighting conditions as well. Users can shoot 180-degree wide-angle videos and capture images by using only one side of the camera lens which you do not need the 360-degree image.

The Gear 360 can be synced with a Samsung Smartphone using a dedicated mobile application and with this users can preview content in real time while recording at the same time which is a great feature to make sure that the camera is focussed in the correct position. You can directly view and save the recorded content on your smartphone or to upload and share directly on social channels like Facebook, Youtube and Google Street View.

The Applications can be downloaded from Galaxy Apps, Google Play and PC Software provides more editing capabilities to the user. It comes with IP53 Certification for Dust and Water resistance, it also comes with small on-camera 0.5″ 72 x 32pixels resolution PMOLE display for status and settings. It comes with microSD card slot for storage space up to 128GB.

The Samsung Gear 360 has connectivity features like WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2.4/5GHz), WiFi Direct, Bluetooth v4.1, USB 2.0, NFC, Accelerometer and Gyroscope. It has a neat design with dimensions of 66.7×56.2×60 mm. The Gear 360 is not compatible with all devices but select devices like – Gear 360 is compatible with select Samsung smartphones including the newly released Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge, Galaxy S6+, Note 5, Galaxy S6 edge and Galaxy S6.
