Motorola Moto X Style vs Moto X Play Comparison

Motorola has announced three now models today in their lineup, the Motorola Moto G 3rd Gen coming first and the other two devices were the upgrades of the Moto X in the form of Moto X Style and Moto X Play.

Both the devices are targeted at different audiences, which looks like Motorola is trying to capture as much market as possible in the budget category segment as well, where it is not that impressive by launching the Moto X Play with a pricing of $299, whereas the Moto X Style is targeting the higher end market with a price range or $399 off contract for both the devices. Let us see how both the device are in comparison and this might help you decide which Moto X 2015 model is the one for you.

Moto X Style vs Moto X Play

Display:

The Moto Style is coming with a top of the line display sporting a 5.7-inch quad-HD display which has a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels having 551 ppi pixel density which is top of the line. On the other hand the Moto X Play comes with a 5.5-inch fullHD display with 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution display having 401 ppi pixel density is a decent mid-range display.

Processor and RAM:

The Moto X style is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 1.8GHz hexa-core processor which is supported by 3GB of RAM compared to the Snapdragon 615 1.7GHz octa-core processor which is supported by 2GB RAM this is a decent processor which cannot exactly compete with the Moto X style but should be compared with the likes of Lenovo K3 Note and Yureka Plus.

Camera:

The Moto X Style comes with 21MP rear camera which can record videos at 4K resolution and a 5MP front facing camera. The Moto X Play comes with a 21MP rear or primary camera which cannot record 4K resolution videos but only fullHD videos at 1080p resolution.

Battery:

The Moto X style comes with a 3000 mAh battery as compared to the 3,630 mAh battery in the Moto X Play which in this segment alone comparatively beats its elder sibling.

Price and availability:

The Moto X play will be launched in September 2015 at a price of $399 and the Moto X Play will be launched in August 2015 at a price of $299.
