Sony Introduces BRAVIA 2016 4K HDR TVs with Android TV priced from Rs. 194,900

Sony India has introduced three new models of 4K HDR TVs in India, under the BRAVIA series for 2016, and these are the premium TVs running Android TV OS and have a plethora of high-end features. The 4K High Dynamic Range models support Android TV, which is modified to give users an exclusive UI with TV apps, both from Sony and Google.

The Android TV series was introduced in India in 2015, but the upgraded series now has a few features added. According to Sony, the upgrade now makes it easier for users to view content via STB/DTH. The upgraded Voice Search feature helps the user in easy searching of channels or the content without having to type it all the time. Content Bar integration helps in exploring other TV content, internet videos via YouTube or Netflix while the current program is going on.

There is an inbuilt program guide and the one TV remote controls both the STB and BRAVIA TV together. With the support from Google in Android TV, there are lots of games, movies, and music content available to the users.

The new BRAVIA Android TVs make it easy for the users to connect their Android or iOS smartphones using the Google Cast feature, which also allows in streaming content directly from the phone, and also by sending movies from the smartphone to the TV, it helps in making the phone as a remote control.

In addition, all the 4K HDR series (X9350D, X9300D & X8500D Series) are Netflix Recommended TVs, and there is a direct Netflix button on the TV remote, quick app launch and easy navigation and switching between apps and inputs.

The X9300D and X8500D models come with ClearAudio+ feature that fine-tunes the TV sound. Along with this, the TVs are equipped with Digital Sound Enhancement Engine (DSEE) technology that would restore the lost frequency components for the natural sound output. The X9350D model comes with the wedge design and there are front-facing speakers given on it.
