Asus VivoBook 4K launched with 15.6-inch UHD display and Windows 10

Asus which is on a spree of launching devices in multiple categories and the same with the Laptops as well, the company has just announced a new laptop with 4K/UHD resolution display called Asus VivoBook 4K. Earlier this month Asus has announced three laptops in the A series in the price range starting from Rs. 23,000.  After the launch of Windows 10 by Microsoft many companies are actively releasing laptops to keep up with the race.

The Asus VivoBook 4K goes with the name as it sports a 15.6-inch 4K or UHD display having resolution of 3840×2160 pixels having aspect ratio of 16:9. The display features a wide 178-degree viewing capabilities along with a 72 percent NTSC, vivid colors and ASUS eye care to reduce blue light levels by 33% for better viewing experience, this is seen in the smartphones as well. In the CPU segment the users can choose between fifth or sixth generation Intel Core i7 processor, the base model comes with dual-core i7-5500U Processor. The RAM capacity can be chosen by users which is up to 12GB of DDR3L SDRAM. Asus is giving NVIDIA GeForce 940M with 2GB DDR3 VRAM with the laptop in all variants.

Asus VivoBook 4K launched details

The Asus VivoBook 4K comes with different options in the internal storage segment – four options in the HDD segment having 500GB 5400rpm HDD, 500GB 7200rpm HDD, 1TB 5400RPM HDD, 1.5TB 5400rpm HDD, 2TB 5400rpm HDD and two options in the SSd segment with 128GB SSD and 256GB SSD options.

The laptop weighs around 2.3kg and comes with 2-cell 37Whr Battery along with 2W stereo speakers. The VivoBook 4K comes with a Super-Multi DVD player, a 3-in-1 card reader along with a VGA camera, two USB 3.0 ports, a USB 2.0 port, one HDMI port, one VGA port and one LAN RJ45 jack. It runs on Windows 10 Operating system pre-installed.

the Asus VivoBook 4K is available in Icicle, Gold, Glacier Grey, Black and Navy Blue color options having brushed-metal  finish. The laptop is surely aimed at the high-end segment with the features at offer, the Taiwanese company has not revealed the availability of pricing of the laptop yet. Earlier this month Asus has added another laptop in the top end segment with the launch of ASUS Zenbook UX305LA. Last month there was another addition to the high-end Notebook segment with the ZenBook Pro UX501.
