The new updates are all restricted to User Profiles, this will surely make viewing your Facebook friends profile pictures visually pleasing and many new apps for the 7-second video shoot will be coming up. Concentration on the graphics segment has been increased in all social networks like Twitter which introduced Auto-play videos along with Snapchat adding animated selfie lenses and its own profile GIF’s. Facebook has gone a step further and introduced a 7-second Video loop as a profile picture.

Facebook’s project manager, Aigerim Shoram, talking about the update, said:

“the profile is designed to highlight what’s going on in their life, what’s important to them now in more expressive ways.

You can directly tap on the record button and shoot a 7-second video with sound, this new features reminds me of the newspaper which we saw in Harry Potter with similar stuff going on. I just can’t wait to see what all my friends will be putting up as their profile picture/video shortly.

You can use the new feature of Temporary profile pic which allows users to set a profile picture for a set amount of time, after which the profile pic will be reverted to the old picture which was set.

The placement of the profile picture in the middle of the screen compared to the present left side will be more appealing to the eye. Featured photos will be bigger in size making it more appealing to the eye and giving the users viewing your  profile more exposure.

All these new features are a welcome change to the user profiles by Facebook, if you are wondering if there is inclusion of the much talked about dislike button which Mark had mentioned in the F&Q interview, there is bad news no news about the dislike button is here.
