Galaxy Note7 customers in India to get Gear VR & Oculus content voucher for free

The Samsung Galaxy Note7 is not yet shipping in India and you may well know the reason by now. The South Korean electronics giant has made one of the biggest recalls where the 2.5 million units of Galaxy Note 7 are being called back after a few cases of battery explosions were reported at different places.

We are not sure of the shipping date of the device in India yet but the ones who have pre-booked the Note7 ave just got a message saying that they are going to receive a free Gear VR headset and a coupon that will get them some Oculus content on board to enjoy.

It is a gesture of goodwill, according to the company, because the pre-bookers have not given up yet and are patiently waiting for the phone to arrive. Also, knowing how bad things have been and could go with the battery explosions, Samsung fans and phone buyers are still happy to get one when it ships to the market.

The Galaxy Note7 was launched in India for the price of Rs. 59900. Samsung is facing a lot of criticism due to the issues the newly launched device is showing up, and the recall of all the units is said to cost the company about a billion USD and with Apple iPhone 7 Plus launching now, Samsung has to try and retain its customers and pre-bookers.
