LYF Flame 8 & LYF Wind 3 launched on Flipkart with Jio Preview Offer

The Flame and Wind series of phones under the LYF brand have added a phone each, as Reliance launches the LYF Flame 8 and LYF Wind 3 officially on Flipkart. These are the first ones to go exclusive on the online store and they are both launched in the budget segment.

The Flame 8 phone is rather basic, just like the other phones in the Flame series. It comes with a 4.5 inch FWVGA Display, 1.1 GHz Quad Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 Processor, 1GB of RAM and 8GB internal storage with the MicroSD card slot allowing storage expansion. The camera combination here is an 8-megapixel rear and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The selfie camera does have some software features including Beauty mode, Smile detection, etc.

The device runs Android 5.1 Lollipop OS and there is a 2000 mAh battery included, which is said to offer 160 hours of standby time on 2G network. The LYF Flame 8 is priced at Rs. 4198 and it is being sold in three colors – Black, White, and Blue.

The LYF Wind 3 smartphone is a better device in several ways. A 5.5-inch HD display is what you see on the front and under the hood, the phone comes powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor (quad-core, 1.2GHz), and there is 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage with a MicroSD card slot allowing the storage expansion by 32GB.

The camera combination is not as good as the one on Flame 8, as the Wind 3 offers an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. A 2920 mAh battery powers the phone, and it is said to offer 370 hours of standby time on 2G network. The Wind 3 is priced at Rs. 6998.

Both the phones support 4G LTE connectivity and there is VOLTE support as well, and the phones are coming with the Jio Preview Offer, under which, one would be able to use free data network and make free calls for a period of 90 days.
