LYF’s Water 4 phone packs 2950 mAh battery, 13MP camera, 4G LTE for Rs. 7599

LYF Water 4 is the latest smartphone from the brand Reliance Retail under the LYF series, and this adds to the portfolio of devices that support the Reliance Jio 4G services.

Reliance has been actively working to bring out smartphones in the different price brackets, and the Water series, just like the Flame series focuses on the budget segment. The LYF Water 4 comes with a 5-inch HD display, which has the ASAHI Dragontrail protection and the pixel density of 294 PPI. The phone has got a unibody design with the silver metallic finish and textured back for a comfortable grip.

Under the hood, there is Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor clocking at 1.2 GHz, and along with that is Adreno 306 GPU and 2GB of RAM. Having said that, the phone also has 16GB of internal storage but there is no storage expansion slot provided, which could be an important point to consider if you’re looking to purchase this device.

The phone does hold good on the paper when it comes to specifications of the camera and the battery. The camera combination includes a 13-megapixel rear camera with HDR mode and Full HD video recording and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. A 2920 mAh battery is included with 15 hours of 4G talktime, 5 hours of video playback or 19 hours of music.

It is a Dual SIM device with the 4G connectivity support on both, but only one can connect to 4G network at one time and the other will be connected to 2G network. The sensors provided on the phone are Gravity Sensor, Ambient Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, E-compass, and Accelerometer. The 4G LTE band support is for LTE-FDD BAND3(1800)/BAND5(850) and LTE-TDD BAND40(2300).

The device is priced at Rs. 7599 and it comes with the Jio 4G preview SIM offer right now, where you get a free Reliance Jio 4G SIM with unlimited data and calling for a period of three months.
