Nokia 5.1 Plus launched in India for Rs. 10999, available from October 1st

Update (September 24, 2018):
After a month since the intial launch, HMD Global has finally unvieled the pricing and date of sale of the Nokia 5.1 Plus, in India. The phone will be available exclusively on Flipkart, as well as on Nokia.com.

Pricing and Availability of Nokia 5.1 Plus

The Nokia 5.1 Plus is aggressively priced at INR 10,999 and is available for purchase on both Flipkart and Nokia.com/phones, starting October 1, 2018.

Additionally, Airtel customers will receive INR 1,800 instant cashback and 240 GB data over 12 months on the plans of INR 199, INR 249 and INR 448.

Alongside the Nokia 6.1 Plus, HMD Global has also announced the Nokia 5.1 Plus, today, in India. The 5.1 Plus from Nokia is the second notched display phone to be launched the market. Prior to the Indian launch, the phone was available in China, dubbed as the Nokia X5. The company has partnered with Flipkart, where the two phones, 6.1 Plus and the 5.1 Plus will be available.

The Nokia 5.1 Plus comes with a 5.86-inch HD+ IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 1520×720 pixels. A 2.5D curved glass covers the 19:9 notched display which has an 84% screen-to-body ratio. Powering the phone is the MediaTek Helio P60 chipset with Mali G72 MP2 GPU. It comes in two RAM and storage variants, 3 GB with 32 GB storage and 4 GB RAM with 64 GB of internal storage. There’s also room for storage expansion up to 256 GB via microSD card. The phone runs on Vanilla variant of Android 8.1 Oreo, upgradeable to Android Pie.

As for the cameras, the Nokia 5.1 Plus features dual rear cameras, of which the primary sensor is a 13 MP that sits behind a f/2.0 lens, while the second sensor is a 5 MP one used for capturing depth information. The 13 MP camera comes with Phase Detection AutoFocus Technology.
The notch on the front houses an 8 MP selfie shooter which has a f/2.2 aperture and an 80.4° wide angle lens.

Nokia 5.1 Plus back

The Nokia 5.1 Plus packs in a 3060 mAh battery that charges through the USB Type-C port. The phone has support for Dual 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, Dual-Band 802.11 ac Wi-Fi, and GPS. For security, the phone offers a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.

Pricing and Availability of Nokia 5.1 Plus

The Nokia 5.1 Plus comes in Black, Blue and White colors. The pricing of the device will be announced in September. The will be available for purchase on Nokia.com/phones and Flipkart, starting September 2018.

    Let’s see what price it comes with! I guess Nokia is unable to decide it’s price hence the delay!
