Vivo Xplay 5 with Snapdragon 820, 4GB RAM launched, Ultimate Edition has 6GB RAM

Vivo has announced their latest flagship, the Xplay 5 which comes with 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM and is powered by Snapdragon 652 SoC. Along with this, there is also a Vivo XPlay 5 Ultimate Edition which is packed with a whopping 6GB of RAM and powered by a Snapdragon 820 SoC. This makes the device one of the first smartphones in the world to have 6GB of RAM. With the size of RAM getting smaller and smaller, once what was considered as Gaming level RAM in Gaming Computers has been fit into a smartphone that can fit into your hand.

The Vivo Xplay 5 sports a 5.43-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display which is a 2K resolution display and it comes with dual curved display. As mentioned above, the ultimate edition is powered by a 64-bit Quad-Core Snapdragon 820 processor with Adreno 530 GPU, the company has launched two variants differing in RAM and Processor,  one with Octa-Core Snapdragon 652 processor with Adreno 510 GPU and 4GB of RAM and the other with Snapdraogn 820 SoC and 6GB LPDDR4 RAM called Ultimate Edition.

The other features are the same in both variants except the Processor and RAM. It comes with a 16MP rear camera with LED flash and a 8MP front facing camera. The device sports a Fingerprint sensor on the back below the camera. It comes with connectivity features like 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.1, GPS.

The Vivo Xplay 5 is powered by a 3600mAh battery and features Cirrus Logic CS4398 DAC. The Vivo Xplay 5 is priced at 3698 Yuan while the Vivo Xplay 5 Ultimate Edition is priced at 4288 Yuan. The device will be available for sale starting from March 8th.
