Coolpad has released a new OTA update for the Coolpad Note 3 smartphone, with a few fixes to bugs, changes in the email system and fixes for the heating issues that users were reporting in the smartphone.
It is the V019 version of the software that is being rolled out, and that brings about changes on the interface side, and not anything with the Android version. There was some issues about the phone getting warmer while using data network, and that is said to be fixed in the update.
Here is what is included in the update release notes.
- Enhancing: Camera tuning
- Modification: LED notification for third party applications
- Enhancing: Heating issue addressing
- Modification: Exchange support
Though there are little changes and nothing really significant except for the addressing of heating issue, the update is still worth noticing for that fact that Coolpad is actively working to get any issues fixed, and make improvements to particular features, instead of just releasing devices and providing no software support to it.
The update is of 23.6MB in size, and it is an OTA update so should pop up on your device already. If not, go to the software update section under Settings > About Phone to see if there any update available.
The Coolpad Note 3 surely is one of the best Android smartphones to purchase for the price currently, and if the update really brings down the heating issue without any issue to the performance, that would just be another positive point added. I have done update with V019. It actually made my device performance really bad and heating has increased enormously. It contains bug so please don’t update with V019 OTA. Mine is already in ICU.

Heating issue still not resolved. Also the display is not getting on while receiving incoming calls.
Could you please tell me how to revert the update.

Has anyone know what are the led color light available in coolpad note 3. I have seen Red and Green. Is any other led color light available. ? I am currently on v020
I am using coolpad note3 from one monthmonth. It is soo nice and good. But battery makes me irritated. But may be solve by the next update. Phone performance is excellent no need to think about phone buy or not buy it immediately
After 4- 5 months you will face heating problem or the other hand phones performance is awesome only drawback heating problem is more than any other smart phones need to fix heating problem
Hi Team-After the update my cell is in restart mode all the time and its’ not getting powered on. Could you please suggest for getting it back to its normal state. My work is suffering all the way due to this.

Updated v024 inadvertently. It actully my device performance realy bad such as low display, sound problem, pixcel disturbed, no clearity etc. Want updating new version i. E coolpad note3. Tell me about how updating mobile.
I hv just received it today but my coolpad note 3’s acceleometer sensor is not working properly. Its auto rotate horizontally but not rotate back to vertical, sometimes its rotate back to vertical but takes too much time like more than 10 seconds or when i tap it on back panel.
Pls suggest me what to do, should it be solved by ota update or i hv to go for its replacement.

Hi, I’m using coolpad note 3 from 4 months, at starting it was really good but when the days pass on the contact list and calling app are getting hanged. And such a disgusting in v019 and rest all is good expect heating and the contacting app.
