How to send directions from PC to Android Phone or Tablet using Google Maps

No matter how advanced the Smartphone or tablet devices out there get, some people still likes to play around and even surf the web using their PC. Mainly because of the larger and more wider view that a PC monitor can give also added with the functionality of other devices such as a mouse or keyboard, which makes using a PC much easier for a lot of people.

One such feature that a lot of people use from their PC, is the Google Maps website, without any doubts. To find the best route, get a larger view of the place you are visiting, and just in terms of user experience alone, using the Google Maps website from PC can be much efficient than their Android application.

However, if you are going on a trip, or moving to an unknown location, then you surely cannot take your PC along with you to give you directions. And one of the feature that every Android user was eagerly waiting for, on the Google Maps application for Android, was the ability to send location and direction from the Google Maps PC website directly to the Android app, so that you can search for a location on PC, and after finding the directions easily, transfer it to your Google Maps app on Android.

And finally, Google has rolled out this feature on their Google Maps application for Android. To make use of this feature, you need to make sure that the Google Maps application that is installed on your Android device is updated to the latest version, i.e., v9.11.0, if you haven’t already updated, make sure that you do it quickly.

Also, in order to send directions and locations directly from your PC to your Android device, you need to make sure that you have used the same Email address on your Android device and the Google Maps PC website as well.
