Have you ever got a thought to change those straps of your Apple, Android, and Pebble Smart watches? Some have scuffs on their straps, a thing you wouldn’t like after paying a good sum for the watch initially. Did you ever want to feel wood on your wrists? Mark Adams, from California, has come up with this unique idea of making straps of your smartwatches with hardwood of different types.
Mark Adams named this project as Ottm and started the campaign on IndieGoGo which already got funded for USD $9000 out of $7000, what he asked for with 120 backers and still has a month left.
Mark says that the Ottm is the unique smartwatch band which is crafted from hand selected wood and treated with tung oil for a smooth finish. You can attach it to your Apple watch, Android wear or pebble watch.

The company claims to plant a tree in an American National Forest for every pledge made. Giving back our future generations to get benefit from the world’s most renewable resource ain’t an offence right?
Ottm fits all Apple Watches and supports Pebble Time, Original Pebble, Moto 360V1 (with steel connector), Moto 360V2 46mm, LG Urbane, LG G Watch, LG G Watch R, Asus ZenWatch, etc. The Ottm bands are easily swappable and the bands can be resizable at any jewellery store or a watch retailer.
There are five Perks from which you can choose from. The estimated delivery shipping is from Mid to Late May for the bands. Interested in swapping your straps of smart gears with Ottm bands? Check out the campaign on indieGoGo.
While we talk about these projects from crowdsourcing websites, we cannot guarantee or vouch for their delivery or whether they would be successfully made or not, but they are among the coolest ideas people have got.
