How is the gaming performance on Moto G 3rd gen.?

Thankfully the MSM8916 chipset is well known for good gaming, even for the high-end games. And because the Moto G runs the stock ROM with no other inclusions, there is enough power for the phone to run high-end games without any lags. We played Riptide GP2, Modern Combat 5 for a brief amount of time, and these were performing very well on the phone.

Does the Moto G3 heat or has any heating issues while playing games?

No, the phone doesn’t heat up to an extent that would alarm you to stop playing. The temperatures that the Moto G3 could reach while playing top end games, was about 43-degree, which is much lesser compared to the other phones playing similar games.

How is the camera specs and video recording of Moto G 3rd gen.?

There is a 13-megapixel camera on the back of the phone and a 5-megapixel camera on the front. It is accompanied by CCT dual-LED flash, and the field of view of the camera is 76-degree. The camera comes with a f/2.0 aperture, and there are several camera modes and features available, including Burst mode, Auto HDR, Panorama, Video iHDR, Manual focus and exposure controls, Timer, Active viewfinder for scanning barcodes and QR codes. The camera can record 1080p videos.

For the front camera, there is a 5-megapixel camera with f/2.2 aperture, and field of view of 72 degree. Similar to the rear camera, the app features are Display flash, Fixed focus, Tap anywhere to capture, 4X digital zoom, Slow motion video, Burst mode, Auto HDR, Tap to focus, Quick Capture.

The Android version included in the Moto G 3rd gen. is Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, and this is the Vanilla OS with no pre-installed apps from the company, except for the Google based apps which you might see on the Nexus phones. The only ones from Motorola are as always, the Moto display and such personalization apps.

How much external MicroSD storage is supported by Moto G 3rd gen.?

The 32GB card was recognised and supported by the Moto G 3rd gen., and that is the maximum it can support as external storage.

Is the Moto G 3rd gen. Waterproof?

Yes, it has got the IPX7 rating, which means it can withstand water immersion for up to 3 meters depth and up to 30 minutes time. It isn’t waterproof but water resistant. At the same time, IPX7 means it can resist water, but it is not dust proof.

Is there a secondary noise cancellation mic on the phone?

Yes, there is a secondary microphone located just beside the camera on the back of the phone. It does help well in reducing the noise.

  1. HI Bought my MOTO G today.It is giving heat. I just saw 20-30mins video in you tube and it started like a frying pan.Please don’t buy MOTO g 3rd generation.When i checked with flipkart they said they cant do anything they are only retailers and refund or replacement is not possible.
    MOTO G is giving so much heating issue. Please dont buy.
    Tip : Once you get any handset please keep it charging for atleast 8hrs continuously with mobile turned off.I am ready to speak to anyone and if atleat i can save 5 people not to buy MOTO G 3rd Gen i would be happy taking revenge against them
