Apple iPhone 6s Plus vs Samsung Galaxy Note 5 vs Galaxy S6 Edge+

With the launch of the iPhone 6s Plus in the Hey Siri event, the company has maintained the size of the display at 5.5-inch but has made the device stronger and improved it internally. Samsung has also recently launched two of its flagship devices in the phablet range, having a 5-inch+ display, the Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus.

Let us compare the iPhone 6s Plus with its Android competitors from Samsung, the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge Plus in a specs battle to see who fares better on paper.

The iPhone 6s Plus with its fullHD Retina display seems to be a bit old school compared to the QuadHD displays in the Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge Plus. Even in terms of pixel density the 6s Plus is lagging behind with just 401 PPI in comparison to the 577 PPI of the S6 Edge plus which has an even smaller display size.

The iPhone comes with a feature called as 3D touch which was earlier rumoured as Force Touch, which in inserted into the backlight of the retina display and works by measuring the distance between glass and backlight to give different responses to different types of Touch. Similar type features can be obtained in the Note 5 but with the help of the S Pen.

The iPhone stands apart in the processor segment with a 64-bit A9 chip with M9 motion coprocessor and  2GB of RAM, with iOS 9 the processor and RAM make the new iPhone 6s Plus pretty powerful. The Galaxy S6 Edge+ and the Note 5 are also equally placed with the Exynos 7420 Soc with a massive 4GB RAM in the Note 5 and 3GB RAM in the Galaxy S6 Edge+.

The Camera in the iPhone 6s plus has been improved from the 8MP shooter to a 12MP unit and the secondary camera sees a massive upgrade from 1.2MP to 5MP. The Galaxy Note 5 and S6 Edge+ come with the same Camera assembly as the Galaxy S6 with 16MP rear and 5MP front camera.

With an improved Camera set up and a better processor the iPhone 6s Edge is head to head with the powerful Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge Plus, deciding which phone is better solely depends on the customers choice of mainly three factors like – Operating system (iOS 9 vs Android 5 Lollipop), the design (Curved edges of S6 Edge Plus) and functionality (S-pen in Note 5) which gives the user the sole power to decide which device of the equally placed iPhone 6s Plus, Note 5 and Galaxy Edge 6 plus suits their usage and requirements better.
